Lindsay
has a Seedy Saturday!
March
28 2015 10am-3pm
Queen
Street United Church- 35 Lindsay Street South
(Corner of Lindsay and Queen
beside the river)
Purchase
all your seeds for the garden this year directly from the people who grew them
at Seedy Saturday. Hosted by the Lindsay & District Master Gardeners; gardeners who have studied
horticulture extensively and continue to upgrade their skills through technical
training. Master Gardeners provide expert horticultural advice to the general
public and will be there to answer all of you questions. Bonus!
There will be 16 vendors, a mix of
local seed companies and community groups, and I heard one of them has an
activity for visitors. There will also be a loony draw and silent auction! You
can expect to find a full range of heirloom and organic seeds, some eco
products, tons of knowledge, and information on how to get involved or support
local food and garden initiatives. Not to mention the good vibe feeling of
spring to come.
Bring cash for purchases and to
make a donation the Master Gardeners for hosting such a fab event! Don’t forget
your reusable shopping bags!
Another event to mark on your calendar
is the Grow a Row Presentation at the Lindsay Library on April 9, more on that
later.
